WETT (Wood Energy Technical Transfer)

A WETT Inspection is a visual inspection and evaluation of all types of wood burning appliances or fireplaces. A Level 1 WETT Inspection will determine the safety and compliance of the wood burning appliance in accordance to current safety codes and installation regulations. A digital .pdf inspection report with associated pictures will be provided following the inspection.
Most clients prefer to carry out WETT inspections in conjunction with home inspections. By doing so, the clients receive results immediately about any issues with the wood burning appliances that may impede their ability to obtain home insurance and affect their mortgage.
